This shop started as an auto salvage yard in 1948 under Orville Ellis. Syd Hansen then bought it and made it Syd's Auto Salvage. The Feimer family purchased Syd's in 2002 and renamed it to Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage, Inc. Since then, Syd's Eastside has been further expanding the business, online as well as into the new auto parts and auto supply business, and even into other realms of the automotive industry.
Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage is a licensed auto dealer in the state of South Dakota, authorized to buy, sell or otherwise deal in used vehicles. Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage, Inc. is a member of the Yankton Area Chamber of Commerce, the Better Business Bureau and the South Dakota Retailers Association.
Syd's Eastside Auto Salvage also conducts business as Syd's Eastside Auto Parts, Used Cars & Rebuilders as displayed on our new storefront sign. This brand allows us more flexibility as we expand our brand and market reach, offering such products as new aftermarket auto parts to compliment our used auto parts & salvage.
To simplify our web address and make it easier for our customers to remember, we use SydsAutoParts.com and therefore are also known as Syd's Auto Parts, which is a familiar brand within the local community.
